Our Story

Rooted in Hempstead,
Guided by Tradition

Polska Szkoła im. Św. Władysława was founded in 1973 by Polish immigrants who wanted their children to grow up connected to their heritage — fluent in Polish, proud of their roots, and equipped with the skills to succeed in America.

Today, we continue that mission. Our school serves children and adults in the Hempstead community who want to preserve the Polish language, learn to drive safely, or simply stay connected to a culture that shaped their family.
